In the fall of 2011, a 4-foot tall rooster appeared on the side of Nokesville Road and in 2012 he began to change his colors to celebrate the seasons and holidays. On July 27th, 2013, the rooster was stolen. We hope to have the rooster replaced and secured soon

The idea for this rooster came from a blog post that the property owner once read (http://thebloggess.com/2011/06/and-thats-why-you-shoul

d-learn-to-pick-your-battles/)

People would be seen pulling to the side of the road and taking pictures with the rooster. Some people even got out of their cars and took pictures WITH the rooster. The property owner didn't know how many people in the community noticed it and actually enjoyed seeing it until it was stolen in July of 2013. The reactions from the community were proof that a new rooster(s) needed to be put back in place as soon as possible.
