Youth For Tomorrow Founded by Joe Gibbs in 1986. Youth For Tomorrow is a Residential, Educational and Counseling Center.

Youth For Tomorrow was founded in 1986 by former Head Coach, Joe Gibbs of the Washington Redskins. Our organization has grown from a group home for at-risk teen boys to a robust organization that offers 16 nationally accredited programs in both residential and outpatient settings. On our 200 acre main campus located in Bristow VA, we have 11 homes which is "home" to over 150 boys and girls each da

y. YFT also has six regional offices located in Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun and Prince William Counties which provides out-patient behavioral health services. Additional programs include Foster Care, Therapeutic Day Treatment in area public schools Intensive In-Home services and mentoring. Youth For Tomorrow have earned national accreditations from The Joint Commission and Council on Accreditation.

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the people who make the work of Youth For Tomorrow possible. ❤️

Every day, YFT staff show up with a shared purpose: to help children and families find hope, healing and a brighter future.

From our counselors and nurses to teachers, residential staff, food services, maintenance, administration and so many others, every department plays an important part in caring for the young people we serve.

It takes a team to make a difference—and we are incredibly grateful for the dedication, compassion and hard work of the YFT team.

As we celebrate Labor Day Weekend, Colossians 3:23-24 offers an important reminder: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

There will be days when our work feels difficult, overwhelming, tedious, or mundane. But when we shift our perspective and remember Who we are ultimately working for, even the ordinary tasks can have extraordinary purpose.

May we approach our work with purpose, excellence, and gratitude—knowing that what we do can be an opportunity to honor God and bring Him glory. 🙏🇺🇸

Strong organizations are built by exceptional people — and at Youth For Tomorrow, we are blessed with a team of dedicated professionals who show up every day with compassion, commitment and a heart for serving others.

We are proud to announce the launch of our new Monthly High-Performance Awards, established by our CEO to recognize and honor professional employees who exemplify the values at the heart of YFT.

These awards celebrate three important elements of YFT’s culture:

👏 Brian Hampton, Group Engagement Specialist — Brian’s calm, reassuring manner, timely encouragement and thoughtful guidance make him a valued member of our clinical team. His effective group counseling approach inspires residents to pursue positive change, growth and sobriety.

👏 Sara Manfredo, Teacher — A YFT educator for 11 years, Sara consistently demonstrates excellence in the classroom while investing in her students’ intellectual, emotional and personal growth. Her care extends beyond the classroom, where she continues to model kindness, maturity and life skills.

👏 Zack Parker, Assistant Director of Campus Operations — When YFT needs something done, it’s often, “Where’s Zack?” A true “can-do” team member, Zack brings expertise, energy and compassion to everything from campus repairs to supporting staff and helping residents de-escalate.

September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month 💜🩵

You are not alone. Help is available.

Su***de is a leading cause of death among children and teens, but early support can save lives. At Youth For Tomorrow, we believe there is hope—and that every young person deserves the support, healing, and tools they need to build a brighter tomorrow.

This month, take time to know the signs, reach out, ask, and listen. Changes in mood, withdrawing from others, expressing hopelessness, talking about wanting to die, or engaging in risky behaviors can be signs that a young person may need help.

If you or someone you know is struggling, don't wait to reach out. Treatment and support can make a difference.

⚾️❤️ Faith Day at Nationals Park was one for the books! ❤️⚾️

Youth For Tomorrow was honored to join the Washington Nationals for Faith Day and share our mission with thousands of fans for the second consecutive year! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that our Coach Joe Gibbs was a BIG draw!

As our team entered the ballpark with two life-size Coach Gibbs cutouts, fans immediately began cheering, “Hey, that’s Joe Gibbs!” and asking to take pictures with Coach. The excitement continued throughout the day at our two YFT activation areas along the outfield concourse.

One moment perfectly captured the day: A little boy, no more than six years old, stopped as he walked by our display, pointed at the Coach Gibbs cutout, and said, “Dad, that’s Coach Gibbs.” ❤️ We literally could not have scripted a better moment!

We are incredibly grateful to the Washington Nationals organization, Shawn McGuinn and Creative 2, Cornerstone Chapel, our Trustees Larry Rosenthal and Mike Flecker and the many staff members who helped make this special day possible. And, of course, a HUGE thank-you to the thousands of fans who stopped by to learn more about YFT and support our mission!

180 of our kids and staff had the opportunity to enjoy all that a day at Nationals Park could offer! From the ceremonial first pitch, to ballpark hot dogs and treats, the beautiful weather, thousands of enthusiastic fans, a celebration of faith, and a 10th-inning walk-off RBI by Dylan Crews to give the Nats the win — it was truly a day to remember! 🙌⚾️

Meet Kripa, a new therapist at our Dumfries counseling office! She offers counseling in English, Nepali, and Hindi. Kripa says "My journey as a therapist began in Nepal before bringing me to the United States, and my experiences living and working across cultures have shaped the way I understand and connect with the people I serve. I strive to create a compassionate, authentic space where you feel safe, understood, and free to show up as your whole self."
