Bristow Fire Department advances station project after successful Bristow Fun Days

The Bristow Fire Department recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new fire station. First Security Bank & Trust's CEO Brad Miller (far right) attended the event to show his support for this important community project.

Since we first shared this effort in May, fundraising has grown from $315,000 to $415,000. While that's a tremendous achievement, the department is still working toward its $450,000 goal.

The new station will provide a safer, more functional space for firefighters and will also include a community storm shelter.

I think we need to give a huge thank you to Chad and Deanna Hanson and the Bristow Fire Department on a successful Bristow Days! The volunteered time goes beyond the fire department, there was also a lot of time given by community members and they all deserve a big thank you!! A lot of time and work goes into an event like this and helps continue to move forward and a community to get a new Fire Station, be sure you thank your firefighters and all the community volunteers!
