On Monday, August 31, 2026, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will continue its 2026 hydrant flushing season. Due to increased discoloration, we will continue flushing these areas until the next area is posted.
The following areas may be affected:
Westwood Terrace, Seminary Street, Camp Street, Constance Lane, Camp Street, French Street, Mark Street, Paul Street, Burton Street, Duncan Street, O'Sullivan Drive, Pheasant Run Road, Kozani Street, Beths Avenue, Anthony Drive, Vera Road, Mt. View Avenue, Elizabeth Road, and some surrounding areas.
We will flush hydrants on these streets and adjacent areas from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water are to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
