REMINDER: The Tapply-Thompson Community Center (TTCC), in partnership with the Town of Bristol, is hosting a New Hampshire Humanities Community Conversation on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Tapply-Thompson Community Center. This statewide program is designed to bring residents together for an open and facilitated discussion about the changing nature of our community, the opportunities and challenges we face, and the ideas that will help shape Bristol's future. The event will be professionally facilitated and will help identify themes that can lead to continued community engagement and future community projects, supported by up to $3,000 in grant funding.
We understand and sincerely apologize for scheduling the event on September 12, which coincides with Rosh Hashanah. This conflict may prevent some community members from participating and we regret that the selected date creates this challenge. The date was chosen to meet the requirements of the New Hampshire Humanities program and its associated funding timeline. The event is already scheduled near the end of the eligible public engagement period established for the project, leaving limited flexibility within the program schedule. Additionally, facilitators, program staff, and participants traveling from outside the area have already been scheduled and committed to the date, making rescheduling impractical.
While the event cannot be moved, TTCC and the Town of Bristol remain committed to ensuring that all residents have an opportunity to contribute. Community members who are unable to attend are encouraged to submit comments, ideas, and feedback in advance of the event. Materials, outcomes, and information from the conversation will also be shared afterward so that residents can remain informed and continue to participate in the broader community discussion.
