Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

Pride Month traces its roots to the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and equality. Each June, we celebrate the progress that has been made, honor those who fought for change, and recognize the work that remains.

The Bristol Democratic Town Committee proudly stands with the LGBTQ+ community and remains committed to building a future where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and equal opportunity.

Happy Pride, Bristol! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.

On this Memorial Day, the Bristol Democratic Town Committee extends our gratitude to all who have served and to the families who carry the legacy of those we lost.

May we take time today to reflect, remember, and honor their sacrifice. 🇺🇸

Big things happen when local and state leaders work together.

The City of Bristol has been awarded a $569,106 Community Connectivity Grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation for major sidewalk and safety improvements along Emmett Street.

Thanks to the collaboration of Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu, State Representative Mary Fortier, and state leaders, this investment will bring safer intersections, ADA-compliant curb ramps, and improved sidewalks for residents and visitors alike.

Investing in safer, more connected neighborhoods means investing in Bristol’s future.

Wonderful evening with past and present members of the Bristol DTC at The Salvation Army’s “Standing in the Gap” fundraiser at Luna’s Banquet Hall. It was great to come together in support of such an important cause alongside Chairman Mike Petosa, Vice Chair Jen Tagariello, Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu, State Representative Mary Fortier, Bristol BOE members Maria Pirro Simmons and chairwoman Shelby Pons, Councilman Mark Dickau, and so many dedicated community leaders.

Events like this help support vital services for Bristol residents facing hardship and remind us what’s possible when a community comes together to stand in the gap for those who need it most.
