Dear Bristol Warren Regional School District staff, parents and guardians,
My name is Kristina Lynch and I am a member of the class of 2014. Currently, I am a junior at Providence College working towards my B.S. in Management and Finance. Since graduating I have remained involved in the community by speaking to students about college and the application process. I felt as though I am not the only alumni who would want to give back to the local community and aid in the development of the current students.
As a result, I thought of the idea of creating an alumni association which would consist of Mt. Hope, Bristol and Warren alumni who would be able to give back to current Mt. Hope students. Some goals of the network are to allow students to have contacts at different universities across the country that they will be able to talk to during the college selection process, adults that they can speak to about graduate school or the work force, as well as to provide scholarships to graduating seniors. We hope to better motivate and prepare the students for life after high school. The hope is to be able to hold alumni events to connect our community and help alumni of all ages to network. I have been working with district and high school administration to build a network that will best benefit our students.
The next step is to grow the network in population and then elect a board to govern the alumni association. We are in the process of planning events in the upcoming months and would love to have more alumni involved! If you are a Mt. Hope, Bristol or Warren alumni and interested in giving back to current students, you can sign up on the attached form!
Thank you in advance for your support,
Kristina Lynch
