Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

Limit outdoor activities to early morning or evening.

Coming Soon....The Cornerstone!

The Economic & Community Development Commission voted on the final downtown parcel sale at its meeting tonight.

By Carrier Homes will develop the corner of North Main & Riverside Ave. into a 6-story mixed use building with 70 units of housing, 5,000sf of retail /commercial space on the ground floor and covered parking.

The parcel will be sold for $250,000 and the developer will receive the standard 7 year tax abatement.

Thank you to the Carrier team for another exciting project!

And the 2026 All-Heart Parks Advocate of the Year is... James “Jim” Cleveland, honoring his $120,000 contribution toward the future Cleveland Wildflower Field at Pigeon Hill Preserve. Environmental Learning Centers of Connecticut will manage and oversee the project at the corner of Shrub Rd and Oak Hill, the former horse farm site.

As a long-time supporter of the parks, and former Bristol Parks Commissioner, Jim’s generosity will leave an enduring legacy benefiting the community.

From his time as the owner of Bristol Construction Co., to his support of American Legion Baseball, Jim continues to set an example as a member of the Greatest Generation.

A WWII veteran who will turn 100 this fall, he recollected that one of his proudest business moments was having his company selected to pave the Memorial Boulevard, one of the most cherished local roadways.

Thank you, Jim, for giving back to Bristol. You have set a wonderful example for the next generation to emulate.

It's Dog Licensing Month!

The City Council pets would like to remind all other local dogs to make sure their owners renew their license or apply for one, if the dog is new to the family.

It's $8 for spayed/neutered and accompanied by a certificate or paperwork from the vet.

It's $19 if your pet's important parts are intact!

And, all pets must be up to date with their rabies shots. Most existing dog license households received an email from the Town and City Clerk. If you did not, all the information is available on the city website under the Clerk's department page.

If you fail to renew during the month of June, there is an additional $1 fee for every month thereafter.

Congratulations to Troop 1425 Bristol, CT
because Bristol has its first, female Eagle Scout and her name is Zoey!

Zoey is a Bristol Eastern High School student who chose as her project a beautification initiative at Faith Lutheran Church's courtyard.

Councilman Erick Rosengren and I were honored to be part of this historic ceremony.
