🏀📣 Dale Burns Youth Sports basketball and cheerleading registration opens September 20! A great opportunity for our K–5 students to have fun, build skills, and be part of a team!

Ready to cheer, dribble, and make new friends? The Dale Burns Youth Sports program is excited to offer BASKETBALL and CHEERLEADING for students in kindergarten through 5th grade! Registration opens September 20 and is just $25. Sign up at bristoltn.recdesk.com to secure your spot for a season of fun, skill-building, and teamwork.

Games kick off November 14 and will be held on Saturdays (no games during Thanksgiving or Christmas break). Those who are new to sports or looking to grow their skills are all welcome to participate. 🏈✨ Friday morning lights at the Stone Castle! ✨🏈

Kelly Goetz WJHL visited the Stone Castle this morning for this week’s Friday Morning Kickoff! 📺

Tennessee High School's Mighty Viking Band, dance team, cheerleaders, and Viktor the Viking were up and at ’em bright and early to get ready for live appearances throughout the 6–7 a.m. news hour.

A big thank-you to our students for bringing the energy before the sun was even up and to WJHL for helping us kick off game day in true Viking fashion!

Next stop: Science Hill! 🏈 The Vikings take on the Hilltoppers tonight at Science Hill at 7 p.m. Go Vikes!

This competitive league is open to boys and girls in grades 3–5.

Yesterday, some of our district leaders joined Communities In Schools of Appalachian Highlands leaders and Tennessee State Rep. John Crawford for a visit to Anderson Elementary School to see firsthand some of the great work happening through our CIS partnership. ❤️

From surprising kindergarten students with an attendance treat to rolling a coffee cart through the halls for teachers, the visit offered just a small glimpse of what CIS coordinators do every day across BTCS.

They’re part of our school communities, building relationships with students and families, celebrating successes, helping meet needs, and connecting students with resources and opportunities that help them thrive.

And the impact adds up! Across BTCS, CIS-AH has provided 84,948 instances of support, hosted 540 events, and served 368 case-managed students.

We’re grateful for this partnership and for all the people working together to support our students and families.

Dolly Parton did so much to invest in others, especially in Tennesseans, and especially in children.

She leaves a wonderful legacy of love and of believing in people.

Many of our students and staff celebrated her today by dressing up in her honor. We think Dolly would have loved it.
