Good morning . As Public Safety Dispatcher Ryan Fraley continues his fight with Stage 4 metastatic melanoma, we are proud to partner with the Tunxis Fire Department as they host a pasta dinner on Saturday, September 26th, in an effort to continue raising funds for Ryan and his family.

On Thursday, August 27th, BPD Patrol Officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of South Street. Officers stopped James Hill Jr. of Bristol and developed probable cause to search the vehicle. Officers located $1,926.00 Dollars in suspected drug sales proceeds, 12 Oz of Ma*****na packaged for sale, 8.7 grams of Co***ne, and 190 M**A tablets. Hill was charged with 3 counts of Possession with intent to sell, and violation of tint requirements.

On Thursday 8/20/26 the Bristol Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team, along with Patrol officers from 2nd shift C group, executed a search warrant at a residence on Geary Ave in Bristol. Two persons of interest were quickly detained without incident, and the house as well as the resident’s vehicle was secured.

The following evidence items were seized:

- Over 2.5 ounces (76g) of powder co***ne
- 2g of fentanyl
- 6g of crack co***ne
- 152 pills, comprised of several variants of the prescription drugs Va**um, Xanax and Oxycodine.

The discovery of these items, along with drug sales and packaging materials and other paraphernalia, resulted in two arrests:

- Jessica Decker, age 36, was arrested for CGS 21a-277(c): Operating a Drug Factory, 21a277(a(1a): Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, 21a-267(a): Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and two counts of 53-21: Risk of Injury to a Minor.
- Mark Pawlicki, age 44, was arrested for CGS 21a-277(c): Operating a Drug Factory, 21a277(a(1a): Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, 21a-267(a): Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Pawlicki was also found to have three (3) outstanding warrants, with court-set bonds totaling $175k.

Both parties are due to appear in New Britain Superior Court to answer for these offenses.

Last night, Officers attempted to stop a vehicle being driven by Edwin Chevere, of Bristol. Chevere fled the stop, striking a cruiser as well as another vehicle. Chevere was eventually apprehended after driving eastbound in the westbound lane of Barnes Highway.

Officers seized approximately 4 grams of suspected fentanyl, 38 grams of crack co***ne and 271 grams of co***ne. Chevere was charged with the following offenses:

C.G.S. 53a-277(c) Operating of a Drug Factory
C.G.S. 14-223(b)** Engaging Police in Pursuit
C.G.S. 14-222(a)(1) Reckless Driving
C.G.S. 53a-64 Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree
C.G.S. 14-223(b)(3)* Evading Responsibility (6 counts)
C.G.S. 53a-115 Criminal Mischief in the First Degree (6 counts) C.G.S. 14-299 Failure to Obey Traffic Control Signal (6 counts)
C.G.S. 14-301 Failure to Obey Stop Sign (3 counts)
C.G.S. 53a-167c Criminal Attempt to Commit Assault on Police (5 counts)
C.G.S. 53a-167a Interfering with Police,
C.G.S. 53a-155 Tampering with Physical Evidence
C.G.S. 14-230(a) Failure to Drive Upon the Right
C.G.S. 14-233 Failure to Comply with Passing on the Right Rules C.G.S. 14-237 Driving the Wrong Way on a Divided Highway
C.G.S. 14-239(b) Driving Wrong Way on Rotary
C.G.S. 14-218a* Traveling Too Fast For Conditions

Chevere was held on a $500,000 bond and is being arraigned today
