Bristol Elementary School

Bristol Elementary School Offering the Bristol community academic excellence, modern facilities, and community engagement.

Located close to the main street of a traditional, small town known as Bristol, Bristol Elementary School is a big part of this close-knit community. Although the environment of the community and the school feels reminiscent of days gone by, Bristol Elementary is in every way a progressive, modern facility. We offer the latest in educational excellence in a lovely building that includes state-of-t

he-art technology. Best of all, the children and families who belong to Bristol Elementary are treasured by the dedicated staff of the school. Elkhart Schools welcomes the community to the Bristol Elementary page. ECS has created this Page to engage our community in an informative conversation about what is happening in our schools. We intend this to be a family-friendly forum where people can ask questions, share what is going on in their schools and learn more about what is happening at Bristol Elementary. Community-contributed comments on the Page are the opinion of their author and do not represent the school district. The district abides by Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, and asks its Facebook Fans to do the same. In particular, please do not "post unauthorized commercial solicitations (such as spam)"; "bully, intimidate, or harass any user"; "post content that is hateful, threatening, pornographic, or that contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence"; or "do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory" on ECS' page. ECS reserves the right, but is not obligated, to remove comments that contain commercial solicitations; are factually erroneous/libelous; are off-topic; that cannot be translated into English by widely-available free online translation tools; or that otherwise violate Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities such as those listed above. Facebook encourages all users to utilize the "Report" links when they find abusive content. The Elkhart Community Schools thanks you in advance for visiting Bristol Elementary's page, and for your help in creating a safe and helpful online community here.

Today we had the privilege of celebrating four incredible women as they prepare for retirement at the end of this school year.

From left to right:

🍎 Mrs. Lyn Atkinson — kindergarten teacher at Bristol for 32 years

🍎 Ms. Sue Keller — teacher for 30 years, with many of those years spent at Bristol in 1st grade

🩺 Nurse Sarah Yoder — nurse for 42 years, including 27 years as a school nurse and the last 5 serving Bristol students and staff

🫧 Mrs. Bobbie White — custodian with Elkhart Schools for 5 years, and we are so grateful we had her at Bristol for her final year

Each of these women has made a lasting impact on Bristol Elementary through their dedication, care, and service. Their contributions have shaped generations of students and helped make Bristol such a special place.

Thank you for everything you’ve given to Bristol. We wish each of you a joyful and well-deserved retirement! 🏴‍☠️

Yesterday, our student and teacher of the year were recognized at a special district luncheon. We are so proud of Oliviana Renes and Ms. Grove for their hard work and dedication to their learning, work and care for others. What great choices to receive this honor and represent Bristol in our last year.

Our Monger and Bristol cafeteria crew has done an incredible job these last couple of weeks serving students from two schools with care, kindness, and teamwork each and every day! From preparing breakfasts and lunches to keeping the cafeteria clean and welcoming, these ladies work hard behind the scenes to make a difference for our students.

While combining two school communities into one building has brought new challenges, this team has continued to find joy in working together and making the most of every moment. Yesterday, the cafeteria was filled with music, dancing, singing, and smiles during their cafeteria-style music party! Students walking through the lunch line were greeted with laughter, energy, and lots of Pirate and Mustang spirit.

Thank you, ladies, for all you do to create a positive and joyful environment for our students. We appreciate you more than you know!
