At approximately 8:15 this morning, the Bristol Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on Commerce Drive.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our mutual aid partners for their assistance and support on scene: Middlebury Fire Department, Jefferson Township Fire Department, Osolo Fire & EMS, Concord Fire Department, White Pigeon Fire Department and SEPSA Fire Authority/Porter Fire Department.

We are grateful for the strong partnerships and teamwork that help us protect our community each day.

We are proud to partner with Bashor Children's Home to better serve the youth of our community.

We’re excited to share that the Bristol Fire Department is the newest Safe Place location in Elkhart County.

When a young person reaches out at a Safe Place, Bashor Children’s Home is the call that follows. Our team responds, and youth are brought to our Emergency Shelter, where they can find safety, support, and care when they need it most.

Thank you to the Bristol Fire Department for joining this important network and helping ensure that no child has to face a crisis alone.

This past weekend, members of the Bristol Fire Department attended a "Training to Perform Under Pressure" firefighter training program, sponsored by the Gary Sinise Foundation. The 3-day hands-on training covered: firefighter rescue under building collapse, long hose line deployment, and truck functions. These three outstanding classes, which were all taught by next level fire instructors, have certainly honed and sharpened our own fire/rescue skills.
