There have been a few encounters with coyotes in the area that seem very comfortable around humans, so we wanted to take this opportunity to share some pertinent information and reminders ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ“ฃ If a coyote approaches you and gets too close for comfort, โ€œhazingโ€ is best course of action. Hold your ground, look large, and make loud noises. Donโ€™t turn away or run!

๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ Donโ€™t forget to bring pet food bowls in at night, change their water at least once daily, and keep pets close by when out and about.

๐Ÿš“ If you see or suspect that a coyote in your neighborhood is being fed, contact the Police Dispatch line immediately at 415-467-1212 so that an officer can respond. The act must be physically observed by an officer for anything to be done.

Bella joined us in late June and has already been busy helping with the STAR, the Blast, signboards, the website, and of courseโ€ฆ all things social media!โœจ
