Sault Tribe Officer Lubben and K9 Nuka assisted Officer Goetz and K9 Niibin for a narcotics search at Ojibwe Charter School today.

We are happy to share that no narcotics were detected during the search. Keeping our schools safe is a shared effort, and we appreciate the proactive work being done to help provide a safe environment for our students, staff, and families.

Thank you to Sault Tribe Police Department for your partnership and continued commitment to keeping our communities safe.

❣️Today, May 5, is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons. Today we dedicate our prayers to honor victims, support families, and bring awareness to this epidemic. ✋

🎤 This past Sunday, Bay Mills PD, and Tribal Court Victims Advocate Nikki Nelson, held an event for the community to come together and show their support. We decorated red signs to put in the community, ate delicious homemade soup, watched MMIP documentaries, listened to a powerful message and prayer from community member Chase B., updated the community on current actions being taken towards the MMIP epidemic, and enjoyed each other's company! 🫶 We greatly appreciate the support of those community members who join us during these events, time and time again!
