Election season is starting. We have two spots in the spring election for City Council. Not promoting one way or another on who to vote for but competition is always a good thing. Get involved in your community decision making.

Stop at city hall and get your papers. You will need to get some signatures-think it is 20 but not 100% sure. You have about 2 weeks left. Get on the ballot!

Several of the council members received messages or calls about this. Proactive communication absolutely was poor. We discussed it at Mondays Council meeting and hoping the communication from the right parties improves through this project and on future ones. Apologize to those impacted.

This is a utility project associated with the Wastewater Treatment project which falls under the Utility Commission.

I was asked to join a Community Stakeholder Forum last week in reference to YMCA and a partnership with City of Brillion. Part of discussion is how partnership could potentially relate to the Brillion Community Center future. I wear two hats, one as citizen and one as alderperson. Both sides of me want to push partnership forward for the growth of our city. If you have any input on this, feel free to message or call me.

Last nights council meeting highlights:
*Approved agreement for professional services for City Administrator role. Approves up to 24 hours a week for foreseeable future while we look to fill opening.
*Approved purchase agreement and we will be selling our 2 ambulances to County Rescue. They will be taking over ambulance services around first of year. This will help offset next years budget increases a little bit.
*Public budget hearing set for 12/1/25.
* Road projets on south side of city should be done within the next week or so.
*Pool boiler down, resultng in pool having to close rest of the week.
