For the month of May Brighton Fire had 5 calls for service, we are at a total of 21 for the year. In the month of June we have 3 service anniversary's, Justin Glaspie 2 years on the 10th, Jason Leffler 19 years on the 11th. and Curt Mottett 3 years on the 12th. Everybody stay safe!

For the month of April Brighton Fire had 1 official call for service, we went out for a tornado warning. We also went out 3 other times for tornado warnings, just didn't count as a call for service. We are at 16 total for the year. We have 2 service anniversary's in the month of May, Dave Hagans has a milestone anniversary of 20 years and Kris Lowe has 17 years of service. Stay safe!

We have no service anniversary's in the month of April. For March we had 4 calls for service, all wildland/ grass fires. With the rains hopefully out of control grass fires go away. Wind and hot weather can dry it out fast again. Several crp fields that farmers still need to burn. Stay safe.

For the month of February Brighton Fire had 7 calls for service. We have 1 service anniversary in the month of March, Doug Craft will have 32 years on the 14th. Thanks for serving.

Brighton Fire would like to Thank Washington Fire, Wayland Fire, Richland Fire, Crawfordsville Fire, Ainsworth Fire, Washington county Ambulance, Washington county Sheriff's Washington County Communications, Washington county EMA and Brighton QRS for spending the day with us. It was a pipeline explosion, no one was around it at the time of the explosion. Forgot a few more, Washington county secondary roads, Iowa Highway patrol and Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy. There will be an on going investigation.

Brighton Fire would like to Thank Washington Fire, Wayland Fire, Richland Fire, Brighton QRS, Washington county Ambulance and Washington county deputy for assistance at our house fire on the East side of town.

For the month of January we had 4 calls for service, 2 mutual aids to Wayland and 1 mutual aid to Washington. We received mutual aid from Washington and Richland for the other call. Service anniversary's for February Mitchell Hesseltine 5 years on the 8th., Phil Krochak 7 years on the 12th and Roger Buckingham 21 years on the 14th. Roger had 15 years on his first stint for a total of 36 years. Thanks

For the month of December Brighton Fire had 1 call for service, that made a total of 58 calls for 2025. We have 1 service anniversary for the month of January, Curt Ikerd will have 26 years on the 12th. We added 3 new members and lost 1 member in 2025, we stand at 19 members. Stay safe.
