UPDATE: Power has been restored!

POWER OUTAGE

We do not have power this morning. Our generator is running however, that does not give us access to the internet so unfortunately we do not have any phone service. If you have an emergency please dial 911, for non-emergency please dial 517-546-9111 for Livingston County Central Dispatch, they will be able to dispatch an officer to you.

UPDATE - eastbound I96 is open

🚫FREEWAY CLOSURE🚫

Eastbound I 96 at exit 145, Grand River,  is closed. Traffic is being routed off the freeway onto Grand River Ave. Unfortunately, the traffic lights at ChalissRoad and Grand River are not functioning, please consider this intersection to be a four way stop. if at all possible, please avoid this area. It is very congested and very slow moving at this time.

We are without power again today, Friday, September 4th. While we have a backup generator , we do not have internet access or phone service. If you have an emergency, please dial 911 for non-emergency issues, please dial 517-546-9111. We’ll post again when the department is fully operational. Have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!

🚧🚫ROAD CLOSURE🚫🚧

Brighton Lake Road will be closed to traffic daily between S. Third Street and Northern Ridge beginning at 7 AM, ending at 4 PM on both Wednesday, August 19, 2026 and Thursday, August 20, 2026. Brighton Lake Rd. will be open Wednesday evening.

Residents who live within the closure area will have access to and from their homes, but may experience short traffic delays.

Drivers in the area should follow the post detour.

🚧ROUNDABOUT CLOSURE🚧

Third Street roundabout will be closed Monday, August 17th from 9:30am to 2pm so the City’s contractor can perform road maintenance.

Residents who live within the closure area will have access to and from their homes.

Drivers in the area should follow the posted detour.

This work is weather dependent. If not completed on Monday, it will be done on Tuesday, August 18th.

🚧Brighton Lake Road Lane Closure🚧

Brighton Lake Road will be closed to through traffic between S. Third Street and Northern Ridge beginning at 8AM on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Residents who live within the closure area will have access to and from their homes but may experience short traffic delays.

Drivers in the area should follow the posted detour. This work is weather dependent. If it is rescheduled the City will notify the public of when it will occur.

🚧 RAMP CLOSURE 🚧

The WB I-96 ramp to Grand River Ave. (Exit 145) will be closed Saturday, May 16th at 7AM and will re-open at 5PM. Traffic will be detoured to utilize Spencer Rd to Old US-23 to Grand River Ave.
