The Meals On Wheels program, part of the 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Senior Nutrition Program, is designed to serve home-bound individuals in the Livingston County Area who are unable to plan, shop, or prepare meals for themselves due to illness, disability, or advanced age. Our meals are prepared and packa

ged by the Senior Nutrition Program under strict dietary supervision. All of the meals we serve meet one-third of the daily nutritional needs of a senior adult and are approved by the Area Agency on Aging 1-B. Volunteer drivers then proceed along their well-diagramed route to deliver to our clients in homes and apartments within Livingston County Monday through Friday. Our program serves home delivered and congregate meals to over 600 seniors in Livingston County every day. We also provide hot lunches at the local senior centers. Senior centers offer Fellowship and socialization. Lunch and activities schedules vary by center. Call you local Senior Center to make lunch reservations. Our Services

**PLEASE SHARE**
We are in desperate need for volunteer drivers to deliver to our homebound seniors in the Holly area.
We are in need of drivers Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, 1x a week would be extremely appreciated!
Pickup is at the Holly Woodlands (3325 Grange Hall Rd. Holly, MI 48442).

Help this Saturday, May 9! To participate, simply leave a bag of non-perishable food in/near your mailbox for your letter carrier to pick up. In Livingston County, Gleaners Community Food Bank will be picking up and sorting donations.

Top Needed Items:
- Peanut butter
- Canned meat (tuna, chicken)
- Canned pasta (ravioli, beefaroni)
- Cereal (boxed, bars, and instant oatmeal)
- Condiments (ketchup. mustard, BBQ sauce)

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we are recognizing the amazing volunteers that give back to their communities to help fight hunger!

🌟 Volunteer Appreciation: Meals on Wheels of Livingston & Western Oakland County

Meals on Wheels provides meal support to homebound seniors in Livingston County! Without their dedicated volunteers, seniors in need of support would not have access to fresh hot meals during the week and frozen meals during the weekend. Help us celebrate their wonderful volunteers who dedicate their time in providing seniors and their families a sense of security, knowing that someone who cares will check on them.

🍽️ Nourishing Our Communities: Meals on Wheels of Livingston & Western Oakland County

In Western Oakland County, nearly 1,350 meals are prepared and delivered every single weekday.

Since 2006, Western Oakland Meals on Wheels has supported older adults through home-delivered meals and community dining — helping neighbors stay nourished, independent, and connected.

In 2022, the organization completed a major expansion, increasing capacity and filling service gaps to meet growing community needs.

Behind the scenes, 675 volunteers help pack, organize, and deliver meals with care. That’s a lot of dedication in motion.

And they don’t stop at the plate. The program also offers a supplemental pet food program, recognizing how important companion animals are in the lives of older adults.

Because supporting someone’s well-being sometimes means caring for the whole household.
