Fire Alarm Technician

The Fire Alarm Technician position includes performing Installation, Inspection, Testing, Maintenance and Service tasks on Fire Alarm system panels, devices and appliances at customer locations throughout Michigan.
Candidates must be dedicated and reliable team players who are committed to establishing and furthering a positive organizational culture. Detail-oriented, problem-solving individuals with the ability to assess, prioritize and execute Customer Service issues are highly desired.
Participate in On-call Rotation to provide 24/7/365 Emergency Response to Customer fire alarm issues.
Expert level On-The-Job training is provided for candidates of high potential with lesser experience.
Job Qualifications – Requirements
• Basic understanding of:
o Computer/Tablet/Smartphone operation/software is required
o NFPA-72 (National Fire Alarm & Signaling Code)
• Regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), candidate must possess the ability to:
o understand the importance of PPE
o adhere to Company, Customer, and Jobsite specific requirements
• Valid Driver’s License
• Pass a Background Check
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Job Qualifications – Preferred
• Either possess or willing to obtain NICET Level II – Fire Alarm Systems
• Either possess or willing to obtain State of Michigan Fire Alarm Specialty Technician License
• Either possess or willing to obtain City of Detroit Certificate of Fitness
• Thorough understanding of:
o NFPA-72
o how to use common hand and power tools as well as a digital multimeter.
• Operation of Aerial Lift Trucks (both boom and scissor)
