You can help us kick off Summer Reading at Summerfest on Sunday, June 7, from 1-3pm.

Drop in for our Summer Reading kick-off event with entertainer, Crazy Craig, the Jumpin' Allstars Jump Rope Team, Chamberlin Petting Zoo, free ice cream, and giant bubble making!

You can also stop by our Inspo-lab to complete a fun craft, visit the Friends table near the Norma Gray Gallery for a bookmark and to say "Hi!"

Best of all, you can register for our Unearth a Story Summer Reading Challenge and pick up your summer reading log!

The Brighton District Library is pleased to announce our first ever Brighton Club and Organizations Expo!
This event will bring together local clubs and organizations seeking volunteers or new members. This is a great way for interested adults to discover meaningful opportunities right in our community.
This event will occur on Saturday, August 15, 2026 between 1-3pm.
We're currently looking for representatives from local organizations to staff a table for their group. There is no cost to participate in this event. If you'd like to book a table or have any further questions, please contact our outreach librarian, Andrew Puente at [email protected]

As a friendly reminder, Brighton District Library will be closed this upcoming Sunday, 5/24 & Monday 5/25 for Memorial Day! Thank you, we will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday at 10:00am.

Don’t fret though! Our new pickup lockers are available 24/7. Visit brightonlibrary.info/lockers or visit the circulation desk for more info on how to place your holds for locker pickup.

We planted our Salsa and Herb Gardens this afternoon! We will be using these veggies in some of our programs this summer, so please don’t pick them. If you have to pick something, pick your nose instead.
