This seems to come around every year like clockwork. The company distributing these flyers is NOT associated with Brigham City. There are multiple concerns with this program and this advertising.

First, curbs are located within the public right-of-way. Brigham City requires authorization and a permit for work performed within the public right-of-way, including work involving curb and gutter. The company has not contacted Brigham City Public Works to obtain the necessary approval before performing any curb painting.

*A resident’s consent alone would not authorize a company to paint City curb.*

Second, the company is not authorized to place their flyers on City-owned garbage containers. Brigham City Code § 116.025 prohibits placing notices or advertisements on public property without City permission.

Residents are not required to purchase this service, and the flyer or solicitation should not be interpreted as being sponsored, endorsed, or required by Brigham City.

This photo was taken while crews worked to restore power during the unexpected outage Monday night. The pole caught on fire, and quick response from our power and fire crews helped prevent an even larger incident. Power was restored within a few hours.

I’m where teams gather,
athletes play,
and victory is celebrated.
Find me where you might stop
for a snack between games.

Among the stories of those before,
I’m waiting somewhere you may have walked before.
Don’t search for names, and don’t search for stone—
Look where many stand together, but I’m hiding alone.

Think eggs, bunnies, and waterfalls…
