A big thank you to Hayes Ace Hardware & Rental for sponsoring our Bridgton Recreation 10U Softball team this season!

This year’s 10U team is coached by Brian Magnuson, Stephanie Wilcher, and Jill Drew and is gearing up for a fun and exciting spring filled with learning, teamwork, and plenty of time on the field representing Bridgton Recreation.

Support from local businesses helps make youth sports possible by keeping programs accessible and giving kids the opportunity to build confidence, friendships, and skills through athletics.

This season, Hayes Ace Hardware & Rental stepped up to support both our 10U and 12U softball teams, helping even more young athletes get out on the field this spring.
We’re proud to have Hayes Ace Hardware & Rental on the team this season. Thank you for supporting local youth athletics!

We love our partnership with LRSC and are glad we could still get the kids out on the field today! ⚽️

Be part of one of Bridgton's favorite traditions!

The annual Fourth of July Parade is back, and we want to see your float, vehicle, marching group, business, organization, sports team, neighborhood crew, or community spirit on display.

This year, the Lions Club is partnering with Bridgton Recreation to help manage parade registrations. Participation is still completely FREE, but to help us keep the parade organized, safe, and running smoothly, all participants must register in advance.

The 2026 parade theme is "Celebrating 250 Years of America", and we can't wait to see the creative ways our community brings that theme to life.

Whether you're a longtime parade participant or thinking about joining for the first time, now is the time to start planning your entry.

Let's make this year's parade bigger, brighter, and more patriotic than ever as we celebrate America's 250th birthday together.

Register today and be part of the tradition! 🇺🇸https://app.amilia.com/store/en/bridgton/shop/products/26098072

We’re excited to watch both teams take the field this season. Thank you, Rufus Porter Museum of Art & Ingenuity, for supporting local youth athletics and investing in the next generation of players!

May is Water Safety Month, and each Wednesday this month we’ve been sharing simple water safety tips to help keep our community safer in and around the water. Living in the Lake Region means water is a big part of summer—and water safety is a life skill.

Water Safety Tip #4: Know Your Limits
Know your limits.

Lakes can be unpredictable with deep water, drop-offs, weeds, and changing temperatures. Take breaks, stay within your comfort level, and never be afraid to ask for help or wear a life jacket if needed. Strong swimmers make smart choices, too.

Sunshine, snacks, and lake days are better with layers of safety. Lifeguards, life jackets, swim lessons, and attentive adults all play a role. Let’s make this a safe summer on the water, Bridgton.

Swimming is an essential life skill, and lessons can make all the difference in building confidence, skills, and safety in the water. Bridgton Recreation offers swim lessons for all ages and abilities—from Baby & Me and preschool lessons to Levels 1–6, Junior Lifeguard, and Adult Swim.
