Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming our local Bridgman Elementary School 2nd graders to the department for a tour of our facilities! The students got to meet Police Officer Fortuna & Fire Lt. Cramton, learn about police & fire equipment and vehicles, and see firsthand how we serve our community each day.

We always enjoy the opportunity to connect with our young community members and appreciate the smiles, great questions, and excitement they brought with them today! They were all given some department keepsakes and safety items.

During National Police Week, we pause to honor and remember the courageous law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

These heroes answered the call to protect others, placing service above self and demonstrating extraordinary courage, dedication, and commitment to public safety. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We also recognize the families, friends, and fellow officers who continue to carry the weight of that loss each day. This week serves as a reminder that the impact of service extends far beyond the badge.

The Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police proudly stands in remembrance of our fallen officers and in support of those who continue to serve with honor and professionalism across our state and nation.
