For Emergencies dial 911. The Green Knoll Fire Department is one of several all volunteer departments that services the township of Bridgewater and surrounding communities. GKFD operates out of two fire houses: Station 1 is located on North Bridg

e Street and Station 2 is located on Dow Road. We operate seven pieces of apparatus. Station 1 houses Engine 34-1, Rescue 34, Tower 34, and our Tender 34. Station 2 houses Engine 34-9, Utility 34, and our antique a 1928 Reo Speedwagon. GKFD responds to calls for service 24/7, 365 days a year. We are always looking for new volunteers! GKFD also rents out its meeting hall at Station 1 on North Bridge Street. The hall can be used for meetings, functions, parties or other events.
