RIP US Army Major Louis Almond. Bridgewater has lost a true legend. “LOUIS WAS A GIANT AMONG MEN” perfectly stated by my friend and fellow veteran Pete Northrup. That he was. He served in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in combat. He was enlisted and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class before becoming an officer and attaining the rank of Major. He was a husband, a father, a grandfather, a VFW Comrade, and a friend. Louis was a character. He would light up a room. He was funny as hell. He had very strong beliefs. He was patriotic beyond measure. He respected all who served. He loved his family. He was a devoted lifetime (and now Legacy Member) of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2125. He was the Commander of the post several times and also served as trustee. He saw the post transform through generations of veterans from WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War and the Global War on Terror. He shared the utmost respect for all of us and we respected him in spades. He will be sorely missed. We love you Louis 🫡 🇺🇸 💕

Congratulations Bridgewater Little League 12U team for making it to the Little League World Series! Every one of you, players, coaches and parents, made Bridgewater very proud. You represented our town with pride, dignity and respect and should all be very proud of what you accomplished. Enjoy this moment!
