REMINDER:

As warmer weather arrives and water demand increases, please continue following the Town’s outdoor water use restrictions to help protect our public water supply.

Beginning this week, Water Department staff will be conducting neighborhood outreach and monitoring related to outdoor watering and irrigation systems. The focus is on education, conservation, and protecting our shared water resources during ongoing water supply challenges.

Please remember that repeated violations of water restrictions may result in fines.

The Town recognizes the continued impact water restrictions have had on residents, and the Water Department remains focused on both immediate water supply management and ongoing infrastructure improvements.

See here for more information on current outdoor water use restrictions: https://www.bridgewaterma.gov/services/public_works/water_division/water_use_restrictions.php

Dear Residents,

The Bridgewater Water Supply is providing an update regarding our flushing program. Over the past month, our teams have made significant progress with the flushing program, successfully completing majority of our system.

Effective immediately, Bridgewater Water Supply will be suspending flushing operations for the time being. This decision comes in response to several factors, including:

• Recent Emergency Demands: Addressing recent fires, Water main breaks.
• Seasonal Usage Increase: A proactive measure to manage the uptick in water demand as we approach the summer months.

By pausing flushing operations now, it will help ensure the system maintains pressure and storage capabilities to meet the community's needs during the peak season while we wait for the Plymouth Street Treatment system to become operational.

Discoloration and Water Quality

If you experience "brown" or discolored water, please run your cold water tap for 10- 15 minutes or until it runs clear.

Contact Information

If your water does not run clear after flushing, or if you have further questions, please contact the Water Department directly:
• Phone:508-697-0910
• Email: [email protected]

Thank You,
Bridgewater Water Supply
