Public Service Announcement
The Bridgewater Fire Department will be conducting a couple of controlled burns tonight. One North of town and possibly one by CHS. Please for the safety of our Firemen remain clear of the area and field approaches as we conduct our burns. While it may be entertaining to some it is vital we keep our firemen safe as they maneuver in and around the controlled area in marginal visibility. Thank for your understanding and cooperation!

Roger dedicated 30 years to volunteering his time and service to serve the Bridgewater community, as an EMT/Firefighter. For those efforts, may his legacy live on through his partners he served beside, his loved ones, and the rest of the Bridgewater community.

It is with heavy hearts that we helped our fellow firefighters from Canistota lay to rest one of their own today. Nathan Engbarth was a valued member of their department and will be greatly missed. RIP brother. It also saddens us to announce the passing of Roger Hofer a former firefighter and long time member of the ambulance crew in Bridgewater. He served our community for many years and will be greatly missed. May he Rest in Peace. Please keep the families of Nathan and Roger in your thoughts and prayers.

Tonight the Bridgewater Fire Dept held a appreciation supper for the ladies of our department. In many cases, they donate as much time and effort as the actual volunteer fire fighters, without signing up for it. A fantastic supper was prepared and served by some of our department chefs. After dinner we played our annual card game, where the top three women win a small prize. This is an annual event to thank the women that are just as willing to step up when the pager sounds. Thanks again Ladies!
