Today, we recognize two significant moments in the leadership of our Police Department.

We extend our sincere gratitude and congratulations to Chief Danny Ash on his retirement. Chief Ash has dedicated many years of service to our community, leading with commitment, professionalism, and a deep sense of responsibility. Throughout his tenure, he has worked tirelessly to protect and serve our residents, and his leadership has helped shape the department into what it is today. His contributions have left a lasting impact on our department and on the community he has faithfully served. We thank Chief Ash for his years of dedication and wish him all the best in this well-earned next chapter of life.

At the same time, we are pleased to announce the promotion of Jordan Feutz to the position of Chief of Police. Chief Feutz has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service throughout his career, and we are confident that he will continue to serve our community with excellence in this new role.

Congratulations, Chief Ash, and welcome, Chief Feutz. We look forward to this next chapter for our Police Department.

📣CITY WIDE CLEANUP INFO📣

The City of Bridgeport’s annual city-wide cleanup will begin on Wednesday, May 27th 2026.

It will include all Republic Services customers within the city limits of Bridgeport.

Trucks will start on the East side of town. Once a road is cleared, they will not return. We advise that you have your items to the curb (or to your normal trash pickup location) before the start of the day Wednesday to be sure you get them picked up.

Please see below for larger items that are allowed and some items that are specifically excluded. The excluded items WILL NOT be picked up so please don’t set them out.

Mattresses must be rolled in plastic in order to be picked up.
