***ROAD CLOSURES***

•BELL RD between Verne Rd and Birch Run Rd (Taymouth Twp – District 2) - Closed from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM through 9/3. Emergency services will be able to get through with caution.

•BRENNAN RD between Lakefield Rd and Roosevelt Rd (Fremont Twp – District 4) - Closed until further notice. Emergency services will be able to get through with caution.

•CANADA RD between Maple Rd and Dixie Hwy (Birch Run Twp – District 2) - Emergency services will be able to get through with caution.

•HERBERT ST between Elaine St and Gas Light Ln (Thomas Twp – District 4) - Closed from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM today for drainage work. Emergency services will be able to get through with caution.

•IVA RD between Gratiot Rd and Geddes Rd (Richland Twp – District 4) - Closed to thru traffic today, 9/3, from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM for a cross-culvert replacement. Work will take place just south of 1025 N Iva Rd. Emergency and service vehicles WILL NOT be able to get through at this time.

•PETITT RD between Rathbun Rd and Busch Rd (Taymouth Twp – District 2) - Closed from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM until further notice. Emergency services WILL NOT be able to get through.

Here are the voting/registration dates for the upcoming elections.
Don't forget- If you want to have a voice in the local municipal election, make sure you vote during the primary. For all intents and purposes, it will be decided then as everyone is running on the Democrat ticket.
Also, you are not able to split your ticket in the primary. You can only vote for one party. If you are voting absentee and did split your ticket, get a hold of the Township Clerk and tell them you made a mistake and they will void your previous one and let you vote again as a split ticket is a spoiled ballot and votes will not be included in count.
