Bridgeport Neighborhood Revitalization Zone - NRZ Citywide We are involved residents and stakeholders who care about their neighborhoods and are working collaboratively with the city to bring about CHANGE!

The NRZ process was established by the Connecticut General Assembly in 1995. The legislation outlined a process that encouraged community stakeholders to collaborate with all levels of government to improve neighborhoods that were affected by adverse or blighted conditions. The legislation requires the neighborhood stakeholders to work together to determine its priorities and create a plan to rev

italize the area. Once the plan is developed, submitted, and approved, the neighborhood can be designated as a Neighborhood Revitalization Zone.
