(Sorry for the typo)

To follow up with yesterday's post.....

We have set a date for May 6 at 9:30am. I hope everyone that can, will attend. This is more of a round table discussion to hear from the patrons on what you feel like you need and what we can do to help. (One topic will be the best day of the week and time that works best for everyone) Lineise from MLBHC will be bringing breakfast with her!! I have met her myself, and she is AMAZING! I think everyone will agree once you meet her, that she is genuine and wants to make a difference. Come hear about her background and what she has to offer. This is YOUR invitation to be a part of helping your community. Hope to see you next Wednesday!!! Please comment if you will attend so that we are sure to have enough biscuits 🙂

And let me know if you need a ride! We will get you here!

Real talk… life gets heavy sometimes.

Stress, anxiety, parenting, grief, relationships, burnout… all of it.

And sometimes people just need a place to talk, ask questions, get through the day and not be judged.

We’re thinking about partnering with Mountain Lakes Behavioral Healthcare (MLBHC) to host some FREE get-together events at the library one or two evenings per month, where people can come hang out, learn about resources available in Jackson County, and have honest conversations about real life.

Nothing formal. Nothing uncomfortable.

Just good people, helpful information, snacks, drinks, and support.

Show of hands.....

Who would come?

And what topics would you want someone to talk about?

Maybe:
stress & anxiety
parenting struggles
grief & loss
depression
addiction & recovery
teen mental health
caregiver burnout
relationships & boundaries
just learning how to cope with life

We want this to actually help people, please share your thoughts and give us some feedback.
