Attention Escambia County, Alabama Voters:

Special Election December 9, 2025

By resolution passed by the Escambia County, Alabama Commission, a special election has been set for Tuesday, December 9, 2025 for the purpose of levying a 4-mill ad valorem property tax increase for county hospital purposes.

If approved, the 4-mill tax will be used for hospital and public health purposes with said tax to be used solely for acquiring, by purchase, lease, or otherwise, construction, operating, equipping, or maintaining the hospitals in Escambia County, Alabama.

The last day to qualify to vote in this election is December 9 with the Escambia County Board of Registrars.

Attention Escambia County Notaries.

Effective September 1, 2023, anyone applying to become a Notary Public for the State of Alabama will be required to complete a short online training course before being issued a Notary Certificate.

This will also apply to Notary renewals that are due after September 1st. Please note the insurance bond amount has increased to $50,000 and an application fee of $10. The filing fee for the Probate office will be $25.00
