💡BHS Entrepreneurship Final Pitch Day!
Throughout the semester, students in Shane Caroll's Entrepreneurship course developed their own startup businesses, creating products and services designed to solve real-world problems. On Pitch Day, teams presented their ideas to a panel of local business leaders and community judges, sharing their business plans, marketing strategies, and visions for growth.
This year's startups included everything from AI-powered travel planning and real-time parking solutions to college laundry services, heated sports equipment, eco-friendly home fragrance technology, and a clean matcha-based pre-workout beverage.
Congratulations to Azora, this year's first-place winner! Team members Christephen Ayemou, Madison Feller, Angelyn Herrera, and Andrea Monrroy impressed the judges with their ready-to-drink matcha pre-workout designed to deliver smooth energy, focus, and hydration without the jitters or crash.
Second place went to SOAP, created by Harrison Dakin, Jaymie Greco, Lara Schulze, and Casey Bishop. Their innovative laundry pickup and delivery service is designed to help busy college students save time and focus on academics and campus life.
A special thank you to our judges — Kiara Rodriguez, Dawn Ruggiero, Lori Wagner-Naughton, Erik Smith, and Jennifer Galluzzo — for sharing their expertise and providing valuable feedback to our aspiring entrepreneurs. Additional thanks to Entrepreneurship teacher Shane Carroll and mentor Jennifer Galluzzo for guiding students through this authentic startup experience.
The winning teams were recognized with certificates and a commemorative plaque, but perhaps the greatest reward was the opportunity to develop the creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills that will serve them well long after graduation. 🐾
