To improve and protect the health of our community. It is one of 62 counties that make up New York State.

The Putnam County Department of Health (PCDOH) serves the residents of Putnam County, a small suburban/rural county 60 miles north of New York City, directly north of Westchester County, in the middle of the lower Hudson Valley region. The mission of the health department is to improve and protect the health of the county’s nearly 100,000 residents through prevention of illness and injury. Core se
