2025-2028 BACTS Transportation Improvement Program Proposed Amendment

All TIP amendments must be posted to the BACTS website for a 10-day public comment period. This period is starting February 17th, 2026.

MaineDOT is seeking a TIP amendment of the following:

Amend the current 2025-2028 TIP to include the FHWA and FTA project list proposed for the 2026-2029 TIP. Included in this TIP amendment is the 2026-2029 FHWA and FTA project list.

We are proud to share this important coverage from News Center Maine, made possible by the hard work of one of our Planners, Jack Bosies. Jack organized this press event to emphasize the critical message:

Slow Down and Move Over!

This week is a vital reminder to give police, firefighters, EMS, and towing personnel the space they need to stay safe while working on the roadside. Please watch and share this story!

Slow down and move over. That's the law here in Maine, and it's a message first responders are reminding drivers about once again.
