September 11th, 2001.

25 years later, we continue to honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless heroes who ran toward danger when others were running away.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMS providers, military members, and ordinary citizens who showed extraordinary courage and sacrifice.

This morning, we joined together as friends, colleagues, coworkers, and family in Bangor for a special ceremony to remember those who gave all.

We remember, we honor, we will never forget.

Call #2392 of 2026. On September 8th at 1628hrs, B-Crew along with off duty callback members responded to Interstate 395 for the report of a vehicle fire. First arriving crews found a 50 foot live floor trailer hauling construction debris with heavy smoke showing. An initial attack was made utilizing L305 which revealed the fire was deep seated within the trailer. In order to fully extinguish the fire, the materials were dumped out of the trailer. Crews remained on scene until 2100hrs cooling hot spots while heavy equipment dug through the pile. No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire. Thank you to our mutual aid partners who provided tankers to make sure we had adequate water for this incident.

Yesterday evening, in conjunction with Orrington Fire & Rescue, we were able to conduct live fire training with Maine Fire Service Institute’s car fire prop. This hands on training gave us the opportunity to sharpen our skills in vehicle fire suppression, hose line advancement, and working safely around vehicle fires.

Training like this is vital in maintaining readiness and ensuring our firefighters are prepared to safely and effectively respond when called upon.

Big thank you to MFSI for allowing us to train with their car fire prop, and thank you to Orrington Fire for joining us in this training to make it happen.

If you need us, call us, we’ll be here.

Another year another successful Young Citizens Public Safety Academy! We had some great weather this week! Thank you to the firefighters that took time out of their week in between working their normal shifts for making this possible! And a huge thank you to Bouchard & Sons Towing for the last minute delivery of a vehicle to us so we could showcase an extrication demo for the kids!
