Join us for Rainbow Bubble Art, a colorful and creative playgroup activity full of fun, bubbles, and hands-on art exploration! 🌈🫧🎨

Children will enjoy creating bright bubble-inspired masterpieces while building creativity, sensory skills, and playful connections with others. Come ready to play, create, and make a little colorful mess with us!

Blended Families is a warm and welcoming support group created for families doing life a little differently. Whether you are blending families, parenting solo, fostering children, or raising grandchildren, this group offers a relaxed, judgment-free space to connect with others who understand the unique joys and challenges that come with caregiving. Share experiences, gain encouragement and practical parenting support, and build meaningful connections.

Our Mission:

The Family Place strengthens families and builds resiliency through support, education, and community building.

Through our open play time and our parent-led peer support circles, we aim to bolster the emotional and mental health of everyone who walks through our door. All programs are free and open to all.

By working together with our Parent Advisory Board, we create a stronger, more inclusive environment that empowers families and fosters connection.

Looking for a fun, relaxed evening filled with laughter, connection, and friendly competition?

Join us for Family Mix – Trivia Night at The Family Place in Brevard!

Family Mix continues to grow as a welcoming space rooted in community, connection, and fun for families. Facilitated by Verdie Duron, this special evening invites parents and caregivers to team up for an exciting Trivia Night filled with a variety of fun and family-friendly questions.

Whether you’re competitive or just there for the laughs, it’s a great opportunity to relax, connect, and enjoy a night out together.

While adults enjoy trivia and conversation, our amazing children’s team will keep the kids engaged in a separate space with crafts, games, and activities. Dinner will be provided, so you can come ready to unwind and enjoy quality time together. We’ll also have fun prizes throughout the night to keep the excitement going!

No trivia experience needed—just bring your sense of humor, teamwork, and readiness for a great time. We can’t wait to see you there!

Current volunteer opportunities! 💙

We are seeking volunteers to help with our Children's Team by providing childcare during Circle of Parents.
- Wednesdays, 10 - 11:30 am in Brevard
- Wednesdays, 12 - 1:30 pm in Rosman

We also need someone to help our Admin Team!
- Help at the front desk in Brevard on Mondays, either 10:30 am - 1:30 pm or 1:30 - 4:30 pm.
- Computer and/or craft prep work in Brevard, day and time are flexible.

The Family Place will receive a limited number of free summer meals from Transylvania County Schools.

Starting June 8th, TFP will get deliveries with hot lunches and breakfast for the next day Monday - Thursday, between 11 AM - 2 PM. Friday - Sunday there will be shelf stable meals. These are free lunches for school aged kids!
