It sure has been a while, Bressler! We know things have been interesting over the past 2 years, but we have an important (last minute) message! We have found out, through various sources, that some community members have been doing some really solid work behind the scenes.

Turns out, Santa will be visiting town tomorrow at 12 Noon! We didn't know this was happening, but we are SUPER excited to hear that there are dedicated people keeping traditions alive.

Keep an ear out! Sounds like you won't miss it.

While most of you are enjoying this wonderful holiday with your family....the Bressler Fire Family is making preparations for the final send off for our beloved Mark.

It is with great sadness that the Friendship Fire Company of Bressler announce the passing of President Mark Plesic this morning surrounded by his family and friends. Mark fought a valiant fight against his illness and defined so many odds and obstacles during that time. Mark's dedication and devotion to his community and the fire company has been evident over the past 47 years. He was known for giving his time to assist at event with the fire company first as a fireman and later as the President. Mark will be missed by many in the fire service, but he will most be missed by his wife, two daughters and immediate family. Rest easy our brother - we got it from here. No funeral information is available at this time.

This morning, Air 91-2 responded to a house fire in the Chambers Hill section of the Township as part of the 1st Alarm. While initially arriving crews attacked the fire, Air 91-2 set up utilizing our remote system. We are able to utilize up to 450 feet of air line to plug into our high pressure box. This box is designed identical to our controls inside the air unit, allowing for seamless use.

This choice was made due to distance and the size of the hill to make things easier for the firefighters on scene. We don't get to utilize this setup often, but it is nice to know that we have this available when it is needed.
