I visited Sweet Lou’s Cherries today for a fun afternoon of U-Pick cherry picking! 🍒

I picked some delicious Sweetheart cherries, and there were lots of other families and friends out enjoying the experience too. The farm is absolutely beautiful, and it was wonderful to see so many people supporting local agriculture.

I’m so grateful for our local farms and the hardworking farmers who make experiences like this possible! ❤️

Spent yesterday enjoying some sun sun , tractor ride, and meeting great people at G&S Farms U-Picks in Brentwood 🍒🍒

This family-run farm has deep roots in Contra Costa County history. They planted the first sweet corn in the 1940’s helping shape the area into the corn production staple that it is today! G&S stands for Ghiggeri and Stonebarger who are the two families that joined forces in the 1980’s. Still family-owned after three generations, they continue welcoming our community and tourists for cherry picking, pumpkin patches, and farm experiences!

So grateful for our farmers and our agricultural heritage 💛

If you haven’t visited Union Cemetery in Brentwood on Memorial Day, it’s truly a surreal experience. For many of us, Union Cemetery feels like home because our loved ones rest here. I’m beyond grateful for all of our veterans and local heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice🇺🇸🙏🏼

Freedom is NOT free! Forever grateful to those who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom 🇺🇸

As part of my goal to visit every farm participating in U-Pick, I had the pleasure of visiting Farmer’s Daughter Produce! 🌞🍑

Such an amazing experience picking apricots, peaches, and donut nectarines straight from the orchard🙌🏽 I also picked up some delicious fresh produce from their farm stand! Their 40-acre orchard produces some delicious fruit, and the whole experience was so fun and welcoming! They have water, delicious apple juice available for purchase to keep you hydrated!!

They’ll also be hosting their Summer Sundays series from July 6th through August 31st, from 9 AM–1 PM! ☀️
