What an incredible day at the 2025 Pack Out run by Operation Creekside!
Hundreds of care packages were packed and sent on their way, thanks to the energy and dedication of roughly a hundred volunteers—Scouts, families, veterans, and community members all working side by side.

This project is always a reminder of what we can accomplish together. Every box carries a piece of home and a bit of holiday spirit to our troops stationed far away.

Thank you to all the Scouts and volunteers who showed up with big hearts and helping hands. Your efforts will mean more to our service members than words can say.

Semper Fi and Happy Holidays! 🎄📦🇺🇸

Today we pause to remember Pearl Harbor — a day that changed the course of our nation, and the lives of countless families forever.

On the morning of December 7, 1941, ordinary Americans—sailors, Marines, soldiers, nurses, and civilians—found themselves thrust into extraordinary heroism. In the span of a few hours, 2,403 lives were lost. Many never had the chance to fight back. Many died where they stood. All of them now stand as a solemn reminder of the cost of freedom.

We honor them not only for their sacrifice, but for the legacy they left behind: a nation united in purpose, determined to defend liberty no matter the price. Their courage in the face of unthinkable chaos continues to inspire every generation of Americans who wear the uniform and every citizen who enjoys the freedoms they defended.

“Remember Pearl Harbor” is more than a phrase from history—
it is a call to gratitude.
A call to vigilance.
A call to honor those who gave everything so that we may live free.

Today, let us hold their memory close.
Let us reflect on the weight of their sacrifice.
And let us recommit ourselves to the ideals they died protecting.

May we never forget.
May we always remember.
And may we live lives worthy of their gift.

Semper Fidelis.

Commandant Hester's closing:
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ladies and gentlemen,

Thank you all for being here today to honor our veterans. Your presence means more than you know — it shows that our community remembers the true cost of freedom.

Freedom is not free. For 250 years every generation of Americans has had men and women willing to stand the line, to face danger, and to sacrifice so that others may live in peace. The freedoms we often take for granted — to speak freely, to worship, to vote, to live our lives without fear — were paid for by the courage and blood of patriots.

Some people may forget how blessed we are to live in this nation — the land of the free because of the brave. But as veterans, we know the price that was paid, and we have sworn to defend the Constitution — a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. That’s what every one of us took an oath to preserve and protect.

So as we leave here today, let us remember those who did not return home, those still serving, and all who carry the invisible wounds of war. Let us honor them not just with words, but with how we live — with gratitude, with service, and with love of country.

May we never take our freedom for granted, and may we always remain faithful — Semper Fidelis — to those who made it possible.

Thank you, and God bless the United States of America.
