On May 20th Brentwood Fire and Rescue hosted a push in ceremony and officially put the new Rescue 52 in service!

This apparatus was custom built by Pierce Manufacturing and features an Enforcer cab with a “walk-in” style rescue body. This brand new apparatus replaces a 24-year-old truck and boasts many significant upgrades, including a crash protection system, retractable awnings, an onboard light mast, built in anchor points for rescue systems and multiple winch systems. However, the most important upgrade is the large amount of space for the specialized equipment that’s only carried by the rescue company. This equipment helps firefighters manage a wide variety of responses types - from vehicles crashes to complex technical emergencies, such as trench, confined space, or high-angle rope rescues.
