💚 For our housekeepers, caring for a community goes far beyond keeping it clean.

✨🌟 One of our favorite weeks of the year is here!

National Assisted Living Week, September 13-19, is one of the highlights of our year because it's all about celebrating the people who make our communities so special. This year's theme, "Shining Through the Years," gives us the chance to look back on the decades our residents have experienced, celebrate the lives they've built, and enjoy a week filled with fun, connection, and shared stories.

The celebration kicked off with National Grandparents Day and will continue all week with special activities and events inspired by the decades our residents have lived through while honoring everything that makes assisted living such a vibrant place to call home.

Here's to a wonderful National Assisted Living Week. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

🚲 This month’s virtual trip through Germany came with a pretty good finish.

Residents pedaled along with scenes of the German countryside as part of Morning Pointe in Motion, getting a closer look at the country while learning about some of its traditions.

After the ride, they got to taste part of what they had been exploring, with a German-inspired spread waiting for them. 🇩🇪🥨

🇺🇸 Martha’s pound cake recipe had a special destination this time.

In remembrance of 9/11, our residents baked Martha’s homemade cream cheese pound cake and delivered it to Brentwood Fire & Rescue Station 2 with a card they had signed themselves.

While they were there, residents had the chance to talk with the firefighters about what led them to become first responders. It made a simple delivery much more personal and gave residents an opportunity to thank those serving right here in their own community.

Thank you to Brentwood Fire Station 2 for welcoming our residents and for answering the call to serve. ❤️

🇺🇸 25 years later, we remember.

On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced a tragedy that deeply affected countless lives and changed our country.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we pause to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who answered the call, the families who carry their loss, and all those whose lives were forever changed by that day.

For many of our residents and associates at Morning Pointe Senior Living, the events of September 11 are something they remember vividly. Today, we stand together in remembrance, gratitude, and respect.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

🤠 The boots may be made of paper, but there was plenty of hands-on work behind them!

Our Lantern residents are getting ready for the 12th Annual Hootenanny by creating their own colorful cowboy boots. Working with the different pieces gave residents a chance to use their fine motor skills while deciding exactly how they wanted their boots to look. 🎨

Now these creations are ready to add a little extra personality to the Hootenanny celebration!
