Congratulations to Brentwood High School rising seniors Scout Langhorst and Vincent Psihramis!

Scout and Vinny recently signed Registered Youth Apprenticeship agreements with local advanced manufacturing partners, becoming the first Brentwood students to earn apprenticeship opportunities through a new regional workforce development initiative.

Scout will apprentice with Seyer Industries, while Vinny will apprentice with Hydromat, gaining paid, hands-on experience and valuable career training while still in high school.

We're proud to see these Eagles turning their interests into real-world opportunities and helping lead the way for future Brentwood students.

Our Baseball Team closed out the year by winning 4 of their final 5 games, showing tremendous growth and determination down the stretch. The season was filled with exciting moments, including walk-off victories against Priory and MRH.

Individual success matched the team's accomplishments, with 5 players earning All-Conference honors for their outstanding performances on the field.

Coach Baxter shared how proud he is of this team by stating "They showed up and worked hard every day. We finished playing our best baseball and built momentum that we can carry into next season."

During his final commencement address, Brentwood High School Principal Dr. Edward Johnson encouraged the Class of 2026 to embrace curiosity, think independently and never stop learning.

โ€œYou can teach a machine to code, but you canโ€™t teach it to wonder,โ€ Dr. Johnson said. โ€œThat spark of a unique thought, the joy of understanding something in a way only you can, is irreplaceable. AI can replace a line of code, but it cannot replace the delight of discovery. This is why I encourage you to keep your minds open, enjoy fiction, explore ideas beyond the world as you know it, and re-establish a sense of astonishment in your daily lives.โ€

Congratulations, Class of 2026!

Throughout the spring, our athletes competed against some of the top programs in Missouri, proving that success isn't determined by school size, but by hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.

Brentwood sent four athletes to the State Championships: Demeterius Thompson, Kensington Curd, Evan Goldman, and Christin Turntineโ€”an incredible accomplishment with only 16 athletes qualifying per event.

Demeterius Thompson delivered one of the most impressive performances in state meet history, winning State Championships in the 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, and long jump, while also earning runner-up honors in the triple jump. His 38 points helped Brentwood finish 2nd overall.

Kensington Curd closed out her remarkable Brentwood career with three more All-State finishes, placing 4th in the 3200m, 5th in the 800m, and 6th in the 1600m. She leaves as one of the most decorated female athletes in school history with 11 All-State honors and 2 State Championships.

We're incredibly proud of all our athletes and excited for the future of Brentwood Track & Field!
