I want to take a moment to thank the 79 people who appeared for jury duty Monday morning in the Washington County Court at Law. While you were with us most of the morning and none of you were ultimately seated on a jury, please know that your time was not wasted. — We had multiple cases set for trial. Your presence and willingness to serve resolved several cases. A suit brought by the Department of Family and Protective Services was concluded, providing for the safety and protection of two children. Additionally, two defendants entered pleas of guilty, and another individual’s cases were resolved as well.

Without citizens answering the call to serve on juries, the right to a jury trial is meaningless. So, again, thank you for your time and service!

If you can’t get there today,- do it tomorrow- but do it! There is not a straight ticket option anymore,- so remember to fill in your ballot all the way down. When you are filling in that ballot — please remember to vote for Judge Eric Berg in the Washington Court at Law!

Today is the LAST day to vote early at the Washington County Courthouse Annex, and take advantage of an easy and convenient process,- so don’t miss out. It took my wife and I less than 8 minutes.

After today you must vote at your specific precinct voting location on Tuesday.

When you do go vote, I ask that you vote to re-elect Judge Eric Berg to the Washington County Court at Law.
