Drop your teen by the library on August 20th at 4pm for an awesome school id badge craft and snacks. We have all the supplies to decorate their school badge, lanyard, or a library card holder. All aged 11-18 are welcome to come and meet others after school every Thursday.

A busy week June 22nd - 27th of summer reading "Unearth a Story" programs at the library. On Monday, come celebrate 25 years of the Main Street Brenham Dept. Tuesday has two shows at 10a and 2p with new exciting, high energy performances by the Bestie Wonderland out of Austin. Wednesday, learn about archaeology digs with local paleontologist Steve Kruse at 10:30. Thursday, the teens will make ancient crafts and skin care products. Something for everyone!

Bring the family to enjoy being up close to cool vehicles and learning about the City of Brenham's first responders. The fire fighters, EMS and police will be here to visit and let you know what they can do for you. Monday, June 1st at 3:30pm.

COMING this SUMMER in JUNE: Citizen101

Ever wondered how your city services work behind the scenes? Curious about career opportunities in public service? Want your kids to see real equipment used by first responders and local departments?

Our Brenham Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library has created Citizen101 — an interactive presentation series designed for ALL ages!

Each Monday from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM, local city departments will share:
✅ Services available to residents
✅ Career opportunities for teens and young adults
✅ Hands-on equipment demonstrations for kids
✅ Local history, heroes, and community stories

This summer series is part of our celebration of America250 and Library125, with the goal of bringing citizens closer to the people and services that help our community thrive every day.

Whether you’re a lifelong resident, a student exploring future careers, or simply curious about how things work in our community, Citizen101 is for you!

Adult Coloring is a way to provide a fun and conversational space for adult patrons at the Library. We are offering an opportunity for adults to relax and be a kid again. All supplies provided. Just come take a break for a short while during this busy, busy month.

American Mahjong Open Play nights at the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library are on the first and third Tuesdays form 6:00 until 8:00. Join us May 19.
Open play with no lessons and no cost is a fun way to practice the game, meet others, and try out the hobby sweeping the state. The library will provide two table set ups, but bring your own tiles, mats, racks and current National Mahjong League playing card in case the program grows. Contact the library with any questions.
