Some hometown GOOD NEWS! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’ͺ🏼

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1MuwXPoo4u/?mibextid=wwXIfr

We do not often share personal news, but news this incredible deserves to be celebrated.

In early 2025, Sergeant Jimmy Ha was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bladder cancer. He underwent surgery followed by months of chemotherapy, completing his treatment in August. We are incredibly grateful to share that his doctor has now reported that the cancer is gone and everything looks great.

What makes this journey even more remarkable is all that Sergeant Ha accomplished while undergoing treatment. During that time, he brought our community together to raise the funds needed to restart Brenham PD’s K9 Unit, completed his training to become a K9 handler alongside K9 Maki, and continued serving his shift while fulfilling the responsibilities of both a supervisor and K9 handler.

Through an extraordinarily difficult season, Sergeant Ha demonstrated tremendous strength, determination, and commitment to his family, his fellow officers, and the community he serves.

Today, his Brenham Police Department family proudly celebrates this wonderful news alongside him and his family. Please join us in congratulating Sergeant Ha on being cancer free and wishing him many healthy years ahead.

Some victories deserve the spotlight. This is certainly one of them. πŸ’™
