The City of Bremerton Arts Commission will hold its next monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 5:30 PM.

This will be a hybrid meeting, held in person at the Sheridan Park Community Center (680 Lebo Blvd, Bremerton) with an option to participate virtually via Zoom.

The public is encouraged to attend and participate, whether in person or online.

You know fall is coming in Bremerton when...

The fountains get turned off and our beautiful hanging flower baskets start coming down!

Next week, both are officially on our Parks Maintenance team’s schedule as we begin saying goodbye to a few of our favorite signs of summer.

And those beautiful baskets deserve a special shoutout! Our maintenance team puts so much time and care into them long before we ever see them hanging around town. From starting and growing the flowers to caring for them throughout the season, months of work go into creating the colorful baskets we all get to enjoy throughout the summer.

A BIG thank you to our hardworking maintenance team for keeping them beautiful all season long, along with everything else they do behind the scenes to keep Bremerton looking its best!

Goodbye summer blooms and splashing fountains... hello crisp mornings, colorful leaves, and everything fall!

Our friends at Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management are bringing "Ready Bremerton" 2026 to Evergreen Rotary Park, and this is one event the whole family can enjoy!
Come test your skills on the climbing wall, then stick around to learn a thing or two at this FREE Disaster Preparedness Fair. There will be hands-on workshops, preparedness resources, and plenty of opportunities to learn how you and your family can be ready when an emergency happens.

Senior Center quilters donate 20+ quilts to the Spokane Fire Relief Center. These beautiful quilts will bring comfort and warmth to the lucky recipients. Thank you Senior Quilters. Several of our quilters were not at the center for the picture.

⚓ Our Navy Chiefs Are Back at It! ⚓

We were honored to welcome our Navy community back for another incredible volunteer day, this time at Ivy Green Cemetery!

A total of 22 volunteers came out to lend a hand, including 20 members of the PACNORWEST CPOA, many of whom are newly selected Chiefs from area commands. Together, they leveled, raised, and cleaned 15 headstones, helping us continue to care for Ivy Green Cemetery and honor those laid to rest there. 🇺🇸

This is the second time in just a few weeks that our Navy Chiefs have stepped up to volunteer with Bremerton Parks & Recreation, and we couldn't be more appreciative of their hard work and willingness to serve our community.

There is something especially meaningful about seeing our military community give their time to help us care for a place that holds so much history.

Thank you to all 22 volunteers for a job well done and for helping us maintain our cemeteries with the honor and respect they deserve.
