In this follow-up edition of Moments with the Mayor, Mayor Sewell and Will Brandon return to Sewell Market to showcase the incredible progress made since our last visit. What was once a revitalization project is now ready to welcome the community, with the grand opening set for Saturday, June 20, at 10 a.m.

As we tour the newly restored market, the Sewell family’s legacy is evident throughout the building. Historic photos, memorabilia, and thoughtful displays honor the market’s rich history and the generations who helped make it a cornerstone of the community.

With vendors putting the finishing touches on their spaces and excitement building for opening day, the building is coming to life once again. One of the most anticipated sights is the return of the iconic whistle, ready to blow once again and signal a new chapter for this beloved local landmark ... and the florescent sign will shine in town starting Saturday!
