On Saturday April 1 2026 the Good Will Fire Company held its 67th annual awards banquet. Congratulations to all the recipients. Many 20 plus years of service received gold watches, plus other years of service awards. Most calls and most training awards. George Roth received his plaque for 38 years of service. Firefighters of the year Dwayne Shellhamer and Joshua Gorr. Chief Leroy Gross was awarded Chief Emeritus status, and honor held by only 3 other members.

Our firefighters responding to a motor vehicle accident.

Please follow Upper Macungie Township Fire & Rescue if you haven’t to stay updated on what the brave men and women of Upper Macungie Township are doing.

Yesterday, Upper Macungie Township Firefighters were dispatched for an MVA with rescue. Units arrived on scene to find a single SUV on its side. The SUV was down an embankment roughly 20ft. Crews performed a roof flap and used a rope haul system to get the patient safely to EMS. The rope haul system used is called a “z rig”. Complicating the extrication was the patient weight and the fresh snow.

In addition to this incident, crews responded to 7 other incidents yesterday.

The firefighters of Upper Macungie would like to Thank the Ladies Auxiliary of Good Will Fire Co. No. 1 of Trexlertown and Fogelsville Volunteer Fire Company for purchasing two EZ-UPS to support fire department operations. These tents will be available for on scene use along with PR events.
