The City of Brecksville which is a public body intends to submit a Proposal for a capital grant under the provision of 49 USC Section 5310 of the Federal Transit Act to provide transportation service for the elderly and disabled within the City of Brecksville. The grant Proposal will request a Light Transit Vehicle, model LTV-12-2, which contains 12 ambulatory passenger seats and two wheelchair positions. It is projected that over 200 individuals over the age of 60 or individuals with disabilities will use the service five days per week for various activities, including transportation to health care facilities and social, recreational, and community activities. The City of Brecksville invites comments and proposals from all interested public, private and paratransit operators including taxi operators, for the provision of transportation service to the elderly and disabled within our service area. A public hearing on the grant request will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 8:00 PM, at Brecksville City Hall, 9069 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141.
